What is Search engine-   

                                   If we divide search engine optimization in two words First Search engine and Second Optimization. It is Clear that SEO is based on Search Engine. If you know about what is SEO so we want to first know about SEARCH ENGINE WORKING. 

               Search engine is a software system that is designed to search an information on the world wide web.Most used Seach engines are Google and Bing. An Estimated 80% to 90% internet user use GOOGLE as search engine and 20% to 10% internet user use other search engines.  Some Search Engines are-Ask,Aol Search,WOW,Webcrawler,Mywebsearch,Infospace,info,Dogpile,DuckDuck go,Contenko,Alhea.

How Seach Engine Works- 

            In Search Engine there are mainly two things CRAWLER and INDEXER. As we know that in internet thousands of websites are launched and daily old and new websites are launched so first crawler are active. Crawler are also know as Spider. This Crwaler read complete Source Code and store it to a local server [Source code are that in which website was built] after local server Crawling Indexer main role was started. Indexer collect local server data and do indexing. For example- School websites Index on school Category,hotels in hotel category etc. After Indexing all data store in main server. 

For example one user comes and enter his query on search engine and send through browser user gets results on his search results and many diffrent websites appears on search engine results pages but who decides which website was come at top and which one was at bottom. These decides through Ranking Algorithm. All search engines has diffrent Ranking Algorithm based on diffrent guidelines. So ranking algorithm on particuler keywords provide rank to websites.
